Hilton Herbs Bye Bye itch 2 kg
Hilton Herbs Bye Bye itch 2 kg
Product description
Bye Bye Itch for horses, ponies and donkeys is a specially formulated, 100% natural herbal supplement rich in essential fatty acids to support:
- Firm skin and skin cells
- The natural resistance to allergens and skin irritation
- The removal of toxins from the body.
Summer eczema drives a horse – and its owner – crazy. The terrible itching is caused by an allergic reaction to the bite of a small insect: a small biting mosquito also called a midge. The Latin name for these biting mosquitoes is Culicoides. The allergic reaction to the midge's saliva, which remains in your horse's skin after the bite, can lead to serious skin irritation in your horse.
The itch makes your horse want to scratch: he will rub against everything loose and stuck to get rid of that frustrating itch. It often abrades until the skin breaks. The skin can thicken in these areas and in severe cases a skin infection can develop. Summer eczema often occurs on the mane and tail, but can also occur in other parts of the body. Robust, sober horse breeds are especially susceptible to summer eczema.
Bye Bye Itch is specially formulated to be fed to horses and ponies in the months leading up to and during the 'itch season'. In addition, you can give Bye Bye Itch to your horse in a lower dose during the winter months to provide extra support, so that your horse enters the spring with good natural defenses. Use in combination with our Bye Bye Itch Lotion for optimal results.
Hilton Herbs Bye Bye Itch has been extensively tested in the UK, where 93% of trial participants reported that feeding Bye Bye Itch had significantly helped their horse or pony.
Bye Bye Itch contains flaxseed (linseed) which Hilton Herbs selected for this supplement because it is so rich in essential fatty acids.
Essential fatty acids are called 'essential' because they are essential (necessary) components of cell membranes and can only be obtained through diet: the body cannot produce them itself. Essential fatty acids come in two different types: Omega 3 fatty acids are found in linseed, soybeans and oily fish (sardines, salmon, etc.). Omega 6 fatty acids are found in nuts, sunflower seeds, etc.
Flaxseed also contains: phytoestrogens, flavonoids, a complex series of amino acids and micronutrients such as thiamin (Vit B1), Riboflavin (Vit B2), Niacin (Vit B3), Pantothenic acid (B5), Vitamin B6, Vit C, Calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc.
